It's raining relatives in Ann Arbor. Sady gets a surprise visit from a relative she didn't know existed. Meanwhile, Matt is entertaining his mother, and dealing with the fallout from the bomb he dropped when she unexpectedly showed up on his door step.

Amanda takes matters into her own hands to help Matt's mom, Ellen, while Sady ends up going back to the place her adventures started- Sinful, Louisiana. She joins her cousin on a trip to explore an unsolved mystery from the 1930's. A jealous Matt follows and soon is caught up in the adventure with them.

Revisiting Sinful they run into familiar faces and places while making new friends and creating new memories. And, as always, having fun along the way.

Note: This book has two parts. The first part is the adventures of Sady and Matt in Sinful. It's the bulk of the story, but because it was shorter than the recent S.S. Series books, a second part was added. Titled "Meanwhile... Back in Michigan," it runs simultaneously to their trip but is the story of their co-workers at Knight Investigations, and their own adventures in Michigan while Matt and Sady are gone.
