These filters are made of fine coconut shell carbon. They remove odors, undesirable colors, and unpleasant tastes of many organic compounds. These filters also are effective in removing chemicals like iron, manganese, chlorine, and hydrogen sulfide from your water to name a few. By removing these unwanted byproducts, you can rest assured that you will have access to fresh and clean water. Since these filters are made of a finely packed carbon (forming a cylinder block), they offer a much finer filtration of suspended particles and dirt.
