AD Surgical unify polypropylene/prolene sutures. Monofilament Blue. Each box contains 12 individually sterilized foil packs of sutures and one instruction sheet. The suture is sterilized with ethylene oxide (EO) gas and has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date. Unify polypropylene sutures are a monofilament, non-absorbable, sterile, flexible thread prepared from long-chain polyolefin polymer known as polypropylene and is indicated for use in soft tissue approximation. The polypropylene surgical suture meets United States Pharmacopeia (U.S.p.) requirements as described in the U.S.p. Polypropylene suture elicits a minimal inflammatory reaction in the tissue. Unlike absorbable, and some non-absorbable sutures, polypropylene is not subject to any degradation or loss of tensile strength.
