Hens 'n' Chicks is a evergreen perennial succulent with beautiful rosette shaped leaves. The tips of their leaves have the ability to change color to purplish with maturity and age and can grow up to 6 inches tall, 20 inches wide. They spread by producing little baby plant offsets (chicks) next to the mother, which is why they are commonly reffered to as Hens 'n' Chicks.

This succulent is a hardy, drought tolerant plant and could survive most weather conditions. New leaves are produced from the inner core while older leaves are shed on the outer.
