When getting light bulbs at an extreme discount, I didn't realize that they're not just standard light bulbs that we could pop into a standard household socket, and you start to learn about different types of bulbs, like GU10, which most assuredly do not fit into a standard household socket!! With a bit of looking, I found this set of adapters that allow you to use GU10 bulbs in a standard G26 socket you would find in most any US household. The adapters are solidly designed, no rough edges anywhere to be found, and the GU10 bulbs pop in, twist into place, and function fantastically. We've gone from freaking out about having a ton of light bulbs we simply can't use at all, to having a pack of 10 adapters that allow us to start using them! Considering just how many bulbs we purchased in said acquisition, we're very likely going to be in the market for a second, or possibly third set of these adapters! GU10 bulbs are certainly a different kind of light, but they can have a place in your home! If you don't put them in a covered light fixture, they create spot lighting. Which has great potential for unique opportunities! Turning what could have been a wasted investment into an awesome find, these really made the difference, and totally helped us out of a hard spot!
