Made and Shipped from USA. People always ask me what is the fastest, easiest way to start a fire in the wilderness, when it is cold and wet. I always reply magnesium chips and windproof matches are the fastest way. Magnesium burns white hot at 4000 degrees, it will light damp tinder. I put this kit together a number of years ago for my friends, soon I was making them for their friends. This method of starting a fire under wet and windy condition is fool proof.... Take some of the magnesium chips out of the bag make a 1 in wide circle about 1 in high will do. Now light the windproof match and put it into the center of your pile of magnesium, as the magnesium burns add tinder to your fire ( it can even be wet).... Kit fits into your pocket weight is 2.5 oz. The tin is 3 5/16in x 2 9/16in x 15/16in. Matches are 2in long. Bag of magnesium is 3in x 2 1/2in.. Will burn super hot even in wet conditions. If you run out of windproof matches you can use a ferro rod, wooden matches or torch lighter. Safe to carry in your backpack, survival kit or car. Thanks for looking.
