Their brushless circular saw, the Gen5X R8653, is a lumber slicing behemoth with plenty of features packed onto its metal encased motor that will improve your jobsite experience. On top of the 3,800 RPM pushed out with its powerful motor, you get to harness it with a fully adjustable foot. You can select a bevel angle up to 56 degrees, letting you cut much more than simple straight planks. You can also change the depth, which is important to reduce lumber kickback. On top of those handy adjustment options, there are a couple items on this saw that improve working visibility. An LED light near the front will shine on your subject while casting minimal shadow, letting you work in dimmer environments than usual. Additionally, a blower attached to the side will keep sawdust away, so you can see any markings you’ve made on the wood so you can cut straighter lines. On top of all of these, this also has Ridgid’s micro texture surface found on their other 18V tools, giving you maximum power in slippery conditions.
