These chisels are made by a highly respected edge tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. The blades are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are accurately ground and have a slimmer cross section that woodworkers prefer. As with all fine edge tools, they will need sharpening/honing before use. These chisels are an excellent value in a good quality tool. This is a Premium 12 piece set contains the following sizes: 6 (1/4"), 8 (5/16"), 10 (3/8") 12 (1/2"), 16 (5/8"), 18 (3/4"), 20 (11/16") , 26 (1 1/16"), 30 (1 1/8"), 32 (1 1/4"), 40 (1 5/8") and 50 (2") mm. They are ground at a 25 degree bevel. Blades are 4 5/8" inches to 6 1/2" inches long. Handles are stained Hornbeam and 5 1/2" long. Overall sizes range in length from 9 7/8 to 12 inches. Blades have well-seated heavy steel tangs and solid brass ferrules to withstand vigorous mallet work. They do not come in a retail box.
