Formally known as Lavandula Officinalis, but casually referred to as lavender flowers, these little purple buds are widely used by holistic healers, DIY enthusiasts and those who specialize in home aromatherapy. The dried lavender flowers are preferred because they are robustly aromatic, soft and supple in texture, easy to use and available in bulk.

Our lavender buds are considered to be 'high grade' because they are derived from the flowers that bloom during the ideal harvest season from late spring to early autumn. (This is why the dry lavender flowers are a deep and rich purple color.)

Some people even enjoy placing a few of the purple flowers under their pillows, in display bowls or in vases to fill the home with the calming scent of lavender. Lavender is widely considered a natural pest deterrent, so you may want to think about using the buds in your bug sprays and homemade pesticides.

Although our natural lavender buds are dry, they have maintained their soft texture. This is because we use a unique herb drying process that preserves the integrity of the bloom in order to also optimize the aroma produced by them.
