Basil Leaves is processed from the dried clean leaves of Ocimum basilicum L. The brownish-green colored curled leaves shall possess a sweet anise-like odor and possess an aromatic, warm, somewhat pungent taste. Basil Leaves shall be made of the true vegetable substance from which no portion of its volatile constituents has been exhausted.
