The 1500 Grit Diamond Stone is an excellent abrasive for removing scratches from an edge. We've tested a lot of stones over the years and we're giving this one a 5 star rating. It makes a terrific addition to any Wicked Edge kit. The Glass Platens opposite the stones are for mounting and using Lapping Film. We highly recommend using the product with Lapping Film. We've had great success in creating razor sharp results and mirror finishes when using the 6 and 3 Micron Diamond Lapping Film after the 1500 grit Diamond Stones.
