For the rope we used 9mm/ 0.35 Inch diameter high-strength climbing.You can use the strap as hand strap by making the loop bigger. The strap is made of outdoor cord, so it is rough feeling. Feels good dampen when wear on top of cloth. But not recommend for bare skin Overall excellent choice for Mirrorless camera or Leica system.
