LARGE 4 oz REFILL: 100% Pure Glycolic Acid is considered a Light, Superficial Peel and is the smallest of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs). The naturally occurring fruit acid derived from sugar cane. The small molecular structure allows it to effectively penetrate deeper into the skin below the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below which serves as catalyst for the formulation of new collagen. If you're new to the chemical peel process it's best to begin with a lower concentration to condition your skins tolerance and then work up to higher strengths. Glycolic Acid Peel is excellent for individuals with dry/sensitive skin. A light peel has a little downtime (peeling varies from no peeling at all to flaking or full peeling). The stronger the peel the more downtime. Individuals with oily/resistant skin may require a higher concentration. Whether you're new or experienced chemical peeler it's always a good idea to do a patch test on a small area behind the ear before applying to face. Generally you'll experience some redness for the the first few days and start peeling on day 3 or 4. The total peeling process takes anywhere from 7-10 days.
