Gaps and the holes around garage Doors (both residential and commercial) are a common entry point for mice, rats and chipmunks. As we know, many of these holes are caused by either weather corrosion or rodents chewing and gnawing on the side seals. These side seals are known in the industry as garage door stop molding and they are the Decorative insulation seals located on the side of a garage door. Typically these seals are made of a medium-weight rubber, making them an easy victim for a rodents persistent gnawing. And once inside the garage, those rodents will continue to cause more destruction by nesting, chewing, foraging and defecating. XCLUDER garage door rodent shields (gdrs) are made from a sheet of high quality stainless steel and are easily applied to the base of the rubber insulation seal.
