Product Review
Our 100% organic coco husk is widely used for hydroponics, organic soil mixes, landscaping and container planting. Coco coir and coco chips can be mixed in different ratios (and amended with pumice, vermiculite, fertilizers etc) to provide the perfect planting medium for your plants. There is a reason why most mega-scale (100+ acre) greenhouses in the world now use premium coco husk products - they are simply the best! Coconut husk products are also ideal for landscaping projects. Preparing an area for landscaping is a critical job. Coconut coir can be used as top soil or can be mixed with sand (60% coco coir, 30% sand, 10% compost) to use as a direct medium on open land, to grow grass, flowers, bushes, etc. Due to the water holding capacity of the coco husk, you can reduce irrigation drastically and grow healthier landscapes. Compared to using traditional wood chips or mulch, coco chips will keep their form much longer (4-5 years), will not continually lower pH, and will inhibit the growth of harmful fungi that typically grow on wood chips. Additionally, coco chips are much more attractive, aesthetically. Coco husk also has a high content of lignin and cellulose, making it an excellent substrate for edible mushroom cultivation (harmful fungi are suppressed).
