The Vigilant PPS-Travel1 alarm is designed as a door handle alarm capable of being used with nearly any door by hooking the flexible loop over the inside door knob of any standard door.

Vibration alarm : turning on the alarm activates a vibration mode. After a brief activation delay, when the alarm is in an ON position, any disturbance of the alarm will trigger the alarm, which will run continuously for 20 seconds before it resets itself to standby. The door handle alarm is touch sensitive - even if someone touches the outside door handle on some doors! Door handles will conduct vibration differently, so some door knobs may be more sensitive to touch activation than others, but the alarm will sound in nearly all circumstances if the door is banged, opened, or otherwise disturbed. Metal door knobs work better in most circumstances for touch vibration detection.

Emergency Help CordTM activation : Pull the 36" long rip cord and the emergency warning will sound continuously until the grenade style pin attached to the rip cord is replaced.

Use Instructions : 3AAA batteries are included, pre-loaded, and user replaceable. Pull out and discard the small plastic battery tab that is sticking out of the battery compartment to activate the alarm. Simply place the PPS-Travel1 on the inside door knob of the door you want to secure, turn it on, and after a 10 second activation delay, the door knob will be alert and on standby. Batteries can be replaced simply by removing the battery door on the back of the alarm and replacing the included batteries with heavy duty AAA batteries.
