Fabric bundle of 42 5-inch squares from the Sunday Drive Batiks collection by designer Pat Sloan for Moda Fabrics. Whether it was a trip to my grandma's house as a little girl or a stop for ice cream after a spin around town in the summer, the idea of taking a break and taking a drive on a Sunday was a magical part of my life. My family continued this tradition when we moved to Europe, a Sunday drive could mean the rolling countryside of Germany or France, or a ride on the tram in Brussels for Belgian waffles. I even married a man who loves a Sunday drive! We stop into bookstores, have a lunch outside or just explore our neighborhood to see what's new. The idea is to take one day to slow down, enjoy the life around you and be refreshed. Sunday Drive -- the collection -- is about those excursions. The batiks -- oh my, they are amazingly soft and the new scallop print might be my new all-time favorite! So let's go sew... in the car!
