Originally built on the banks of the Green River in Massachusetts, Russell Green River Works became the oldest cutlery manufacturer in the country. These blades are made of high carbon 1095 steel, flat ground with a satin finish, high on functionality and low on frills. Tried and true blade and tang shapes that are still in use today because they work! These blade blanks are marked with RGRW's logo and "Made in the U.S.A." - 1095 keeps an edge better than stainless steels, but is also more susceptible to rust. Despite storing our blades in bags to protect them from humidity, occasional rust spots may be present on the tang. This is easily buffed out or covered with your handlmaterial.ga
