The PowerBox VP works by modifying the electronic signals that control fuel pressure produced by the VP37 pump in order to optimize engine performance. The PowerBox VP increases fuel pressure at the pump to compensate for lost pressure as fuel is distributed to each injector. The increased pressure enables injectors to respond faster during acceleration. While actual injection pressure is not increased, the pressure required to activate injectors is readily maintained.

Power adjustment setting

The PowerBox VP has an adjustment screw that has been pre-set to provide a modest improvement. However, most vehicles require a higher setting to achieve optimal power gains. The unit can be easily adjusted by using a small screw driver.
