In 2016, Apple made its new iPhone SE smaller rather than larger. iPhone SE mimicked the smaller handset and 4" display of the 5S, but was loaded with 6S tech, so its price could drop to be more competitive with the Android offerings that year. To wit, SE has the same 12 MP rear camera, and A9 chip processing power of the 6S, released a few months earlier. So, if you want to upgrade your 5S for better FaceTiming, streaming or gaming, without all the extra screen real estate, the SE promises serious savings - whether you choose 32GB or 128GB memory.
