Harper Richmond inherited a locker room full of trouble upon her father’s death. She got a womanizing pitcher, a forbidden office romance, and a balance sheet in the red. The St. George Redrocks are ripe for reorganization and Isaac Wolfe is ready to take on the challenge. He’s been married before, and didn’t particularly enjoy the experience, but for a shot at the big leagues, he’d marry a turnip. Only Harper isn’t anything like a turnip. She’s warm, inviting, smart, and treats Isaac’s son like a member of the family. The more time he spends with her, the more he realizes a year-long marriage isn’t going to be enough. But, if they can’t work out their differences when it comes to managing the team, then they’ll lose everything important before the seventh inning stretch.
