Heidi, a 19 year-old, white South African is going home after spending 5 years in a boarding school. Because her mother died giving birth to her and her father disappeared when she was five, she grew up with black step-parents. When she turns 21, she will inherit half of a sprawling pig farm, which her step-parents have been developing in her absence. She soon finds out that the couple have branched out into transforming innocents, like Heidi, into obedient domestic pets.
