These brushes are designed for practice purposes, for one to make some simple stroke or so. Serious painters should get a more expensive set.
These brushes can hold water well. See photo for comparison when the bristles are dry VS fully loaded with water.
ABOUT BRISTLE SHEDDING: It's common for new brushes that's handmade to shed hair. Kindly immerse in the water and use regularly. After dozens of use, the shedding should stop.
