This round glide fits inside a round steel weld cup with an inside diameter of 1-1/2" US standard size, not metric. When measuring your chair's weld cup, measure the inside diameter. A ridge circling the outside of the part will be shaved off installed, assuring a tight fit and securing the glide in the weld cup. ----------------- Installation Tips Use pliers to remove old cups. Clean all dirt and rust off chair foot before installing new cup. This will help make installing the cups easier and make them last longer. Insert one of the cups at and angle in the the wrought iron chair foot and use a screwdriver to press the the other side in. If necessary, you can soak the glides in hot water to soften them up so they are more flexible.
