Lockdown Strips is a veteran owned family business that is dedicated first and foremost to student safety.

Instructions:

1. Every morning, when you open your classroom for the day, use your key and lock the door handle.

2. Place the magnetic lockdown strip over the doors strike plate, this is the area between the door handle and the door frame.

3. Allow the door to close. You will be able to simply pull or push the door open. This allows students to easily come and go. You can also conduct class quietly with a closed door.

4. WHEN A LOCKDOWN IS ANNOUNCED: open the door slightly to remove the lockdown magnetic strip. Then close the door. THE DOOR IS NOW LOCKED. The door was locked in step one at the beginning of the day. Removing the lockdown strip allows the locked door latch to engage with the door frame.
