These massive and tough 12.5 gauge stainless hog rings make life easy when dealing with fence panels, fish traps, live animal traps, gabion baskets, wire mesh, full-grain leather upholstery and more. Inside diameter is 7/8". Easily closes around round rods and have a closed diameter of 1/3" or less depending on how hard you squeeze them. We recommend using these with eye protection and an heirloom quality, full-size professional grade tool, but if you don't have one, the jaw recesses on many standard linesman's pliers will close 7/8" rings. These rings have sharp points, which help them penetrate thick plastic stock, but can be filed by the user for rare applications that demand it.
