Product Review
With a distinctive look and style, the classy yet tactical Deadline 1087 is a collaboration between Kershaw and custom knifemaker, Matt Diskin. Reliable and durable 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade is a modified Wharncliffe, keeps its sharp edge, is corrosion resistant and contains more carbons for hardness and strength. Uniquely, the Deadline opens with Kershaw’s KVT ball-bearing system and utilizes a Tune Detent System (TDS)—a detent is created at the front side of the blade. The detent is independent and allows users to set the lock and detent pressures to accomplish the perfect feel and grip with every use. Both the blade and handle feature a two-toned finish of gray PVD coating in the grinds and hollows and a satin finish on the flats. Equipped with a deep-carry, reversible pocketclip, left and right-handed users alike can comfortably carry low in pockets in the tip-up position. A captured frame lock securely holds the blade in place during use and allows no wiggle room in closure.
