The Cescorf large bone anthropometer was developed to facilitate chest depth measurements. It includes two different scales: a conventional scale for width and one for depth. With this innovation, the tips are simply slid in the opposite direction and the measurement will be obtained on the appropriate scale to the depth measurement. This instrument is known by multiple names: large bone anthropometer, large bone caliper, large sliding caliper. Used to measure biliocristal and biacromial breadths. 600mm range.
