How It Works

The Barkban Collar has 7 response levels to cater to your dog's barking behaviour:
(1) At first bark a warning tone is sounded,
(2) if a second bark occurs within 30 seconds, a louder warning is sounded,
(3, 4, 5, 6 & 7) if your dog continues to bark within the next 30 seconds Barkban responds by giving stronger tones and shocks through 5 more levels.

At any stage, once your dog stops barking for 30 seconds, the Collar resets to 1st level 'warning tone only' mode.
The use of increasing response levels creates a pattern that your dog quickly learns is caused by it's barking.
It will not take long for your dog's barking habit to be changed. The first 2 warning tones will soon be sufficient to stop barking.

Safety

The shocks administered by the collar will cause no harm, only discomfort to your dog.
However, as further safeguard, if the Training Collar reaches continuous stimulus at level 7, it automatically cuts out/stops working for 1 minute.
