The Jacobite shirt takes its name and style from the Jacobites, the Highlanders who were perhaps most famous for being supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie. It's a loose fitting, comfortable shirt which is worn casually, usually with a kilt, but sometimes with jeans or casual trousers. The simplicity of the lace fastening is reminiscent of times past when technology wasn't available to make buttonholes by machine. Of course we have automated technology nowadays and so the eyelets for the laces are machine made, and are color matched to the color of the shirt. The shirt has loose cut sleeves, but with buttoned cuffs to keep it neat at the wrists. It comes in a great range of colors and sizes.
