Using Z-Wave technology, the HomeSeer Wireless Z-Wave Plus Door Window Sensor - Gen5 (U.S) allows you to monitor when your door or window is opened or closed. It consists of a sensor body and a magnet piece. The magnet piece mounts on the actual door/window while the sensor body mounts on the door/window frame. Whenever the sensor and magnet are separated or joined together (upon opening or closing the door or window), a Z-Wave alert is triggered. This sensor is used with a Z-Wave compatible hub/controller for use in automated events or scenes, and it conveniently runs on AAA batteries (included).
