Product Review
BerryGPS-IMUv3 has been specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi Zero. It is also compatible with all other versions of Raspberry Pi.
BerryGPS-IMUv3 uses the CAM-M8 from uBlox, which is a high quality GPS module which also supports 3 concurrent GNSS(GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou).
This module is also equip with 10DOF. The same sensors that are found on the BerryIMU
All the sensors found on the BerryGPS-IMUv3 are:
- GPS
- Accelerometer
- Gyroscope
- Magnetometer (Compass)
- Barometric/Altitude
- Temperature
Features
Built in antenna: BerryGPS-IMUv3 comes with an inbuilt antenna.
SupCap: The SuperCap keeps the phemeris data stored in the battery backup RAM for 4 hours. This allows for faster acquisitions when the module is power cycled.
Fix indicator: The fix LED will flash once a second when a fix has been obtained. The fix signal is also presented on an output pin.
PPS: BerryGPS-IMUv3 also includes Pulse Per Second(PPS) functionality. With a LED which will flash on every pulse and an output pin to be used by a microcontroller for time syncing.
GPS and IMU Pins: All pins from GPS and IMU are available on the PCB
3 concurrent GNSS: Concurrent reception of up to 3 GNSS (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou).
Protocols: NMEA, UBX binary, RTCM.
GPS Update rate Single GNSS - up to 18Hz, Dual GNSS up to 10Hz.
Connection for external antenna: BerryGPS-IMUv3 also includes a uFL connector for an external antenna, which can be used when BerryGPS doesn't have clear access to the sky.
BerryGPS-IUM comes with;
