This program from Rachel Podger and Brecon Baroque brings together four violinist-composers who are united by a reverence for Arcangelo Corelli, and in particular his Opus 5. These pieces from Pisendel, Tartini, Veracini and Vivaldi explore the sonata form for violin and continuo, weaving together stylized dances and traditional preludes to create a world of musical alchemy filed with textures and melodies that entrance and amaze.
