Our fiberglass mesh is strong enough for any tile or tesserae you care to use, including glass, porcelain, ceramic, stone, quartzite or cement. .Fiberglass Mesh is also used in sub flooring, mosaic tile and other industries and applications. Made in the USA.
If you are going to use this for vertical or one is using a heavier stone or tile, once the pieces are laid out, flip the mesh over with the pieces already placed, put a drop or 2 of glue for insurance on each piece of the mosaic for vertical or heavier pieces. or, what we do is build mosaics on plastic and place a drop or 2 of glue on each piece if the product is heavy / big or un-flat backing of product using. Example, Ceramic tile is not flat backed..

. UPDATE..We have improved our adhesive glue that is applied to the mesh, It is much stickier.
