These heating elements have been used in heat treating furnaces for knife making and tool hardening.
These elements have also been used in foundry furnaces for melting aluminum, brass and bronze.
Two of these elements may be connected in series across a 240 Vac line.
The element material is rated to 2300 °F.
Notes:
These elements must be stretched to a minimum of 60" before use. The maximum stretched length is 120".
The pig tails may be cut shorter as required, however the coiled section should not be cut to prevent excessive current draw and burn out.
This item comes with 4 feet of Kanthal pin wire to make pins for attaching to fire brick grooves.
