Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is an hour long action-adventure TV show. The plot follows Agent Phil Coulson, who is in charge of the titular covert and elite spy division within the Marvel Comics universe of superhumans. Plot lines and characters are borrowed from Marvel Comics, such as the villain Deathlok, HYDRA the evil counterpart to S.H.I.E.L.D., and Lady Sif, an ally introduced in the feature movie Thor. Taking place in the aftermath of the Avengers film, episodes in the first season follow the globetrotting S.H.I.E.L.D agents on perilous missions using the most sophisticated technology. Join Agent Coulson as he and his team battle foes from other planets, other dimensions, and other spy agencies.
