Product Review
An apple orchard in your own back door! Growing your own apples can be easy and fun. Grow bushels of healthy, flavorful apples that can be eaten fresh off the tree. There is nothing better than dried apple pies or hot apple pie and ice cream. Remember you grandmother's fresh apple bunt cake? Not only are you saving money but you are getting fresh fruit from you own apple trees. The dwarf Jonathon Apple trees bloom in the springtime and ripen from September to October. A Jonathon Apple tree is not drought tolerant. These red apples have a crisp sweet-tart taste and are one of the most commercially produced apples in the United States. Pollinate with Red or Yellow Delicious. Easy to grow and so good to eat! Plant in full sun and in moist well-drained, loamy soil. In winter plants will ship dormant. Tip: Potted dormant perennials can be kept in a well-lit cool/cold area (ie. Garage, shed, even in a protected area outdoors) until ready for spring planting. Do not allow them to completely dry out. In winter, plants will be shipped dormant.
