This is the Deluxe Pressure Flaker. All of our flakers are machined from Delrin, the preferred material by flint knappers world wide. It has 2 set screws which enable you to use several different nail sizes ranging from the 10d up to the 20d copper nails. You simply center the two set screws pinching the nail in the middle of the bore. This flaker comes with an Allen Key that stowes away nicely in the handle. The round design of the handle on the Allen Key guards against over-tightening the set screws and damaging the tool. All pressure flaker tools are used setting percussion or pressure platforms, edging and notching. They can be used for virtually any type of pressure flaking. The tip is a hardened copper 20d nail. Replacement nails available.
