Z&C Premium Bread Lame is custom designed for a professional baker. A lame is used for slashing artisan loaves before baking it's the classic bakers tool for scoring perfect slashes into French baguettes and other crusty breads. Why do you use a lame to score bread?) The slashes allow for rapid expansion of the hot dough which results in a light, airy, and beautiful loaf. Straight bladed knives are preferred for cuts made with the blade held perpendicular to the loafs surface. Because every lame is individually handmade, slight variations may be present, especially in the wood grain. Note: This lame is currently right handed only. Attempting left use will result in the nuts catching on your dough. One pack of 5 double edged razors are included.
