Type 18-8 stainless steel bugle style deck screws have good chemical resistance and are commonly used with treated (arsenic-free) lumber. The bugle style offers a curved neck that sit flush into the material providing a nice finished appearance. These screws have a type 17 auger point that penetrates softwood and plastic-wood composite decking material. They may be mildly magnetic and length is measured from the top to bottom.
