How to Use? Follow these directions for a simple and smooth sharpening experience.
STEP 1: Place the knife sharpener on a flat surface and hold the sharpener handle with one hand, hold the knife holder with the other.
STEP 2: Coarse sharpening: Place knife on the sharpening slot. Using light pressure pull the blade back in a horizontal motion, drawing the blade through the slot from base to tip. Repeat this motion 2-3 times. Don't push and/or forcefully pull the knife back and forth.
STEP 3: Fine honing: This necessary step eliminates the burrs on the knife as well as returning the knife to optimum sharpness with a polished look. Honing your knife should be done regularly dependent on use.

Warning:
1. Don't put sharpener in or on water. Keep the sharpener dry and clean.
2.It doesn't work for ceramic knifes.
