When we designed our Komodo Canvas Pouches, we had no desire to build "just another bag." We looked at what worked and what didn't and then built our bag from the ground up, ensuring every aspect of it reinforced our vision: create a stronger, better bag that a professional would be glad to have.

So what did we do to build a better bag?

A key component of any tool bag is what holds it all together: the stitching. We focused heavily on improving the strength of the seams.

1) Improved the thread to a 20s/3 heavy weight nylon that provides a significant boost in overall thread strength.

2) Increased the number of stitches sewn per inch to boost the weight tolerance of the seam.

3) Added double stitching for even further durability.

Beyond the stitching, we had two problems to solve with the zipper: issues with metal zippers sticking and improving its strength.

So we switched to a nylon coil zipper.

Nylon coil zippers have more teeth, which means greater strength, and do not suffer from all of the sticking problems that metal zippers are so prone to. This is why nylon coil zippers are the preferred zipper for things like camping tents and travel luggage. More strength, better performance.

Finally, we adjusted the size of our bags from the standard 12.5 in. x 7 in. made of 10 oz canvas to a slightly larger 13 in. x 8 in. bag made of 16 oz canvas, giving us more strength and additional storage space, while keeping the bags small enough to be portable.

SET OF 4 BAGS: Komodo Canvas tool bags come in a pack of 4 different colors (Red, Orange, Brown, Black) for easy sorting and storage. Each bag is perfectly sized at 13 in. x 8 in. making them larger then standard tool pouches, but not so large as to diminish their portability.
BUILT FOR PRO USE: Komodo tool pouches are held together with a 20s/3 heavy weight nylon thread combined with double stitching and 10 stitches per inch of fabric. Combine this with our heavy duty 16 oz canvas and a seamless bottom for increased strength and dependability, our bags hold up under the most rugged conditions.
STRONGER, SMOOTHER ZIPPER: We replaced the weaker, traditional metal zipper with a durable nylon coil zipper. The nylon zipper has more teeth and thus, more strength. Unlike metal zippers, nylon zippers also zip and unzip cleanly and smoothly with zero fear of sticking.
MACHINE WASHABLE, IRONABLE: No matter what you use our bags for, they are bound to get dirty. The good news is our bags are machine washer and dryer safe. You can even iron them afterwards if you really want a crisp, new looking bag.
VERSATILITY: Store everything from tools (wrenches, pliers, tape measures) to parts (wire connectors, plugs, cables) and just about anything in between.
