Biennial plant grows 18-24" tall and as its name implies, grows dark green flat leaves.
This plant is notorious for slow germination and will require your attention to keep soil warm above 65 degrees and lightly moist for up to 2 months. To speed germination, soak seeds overnight in warm water and rinse before planting. Seedlings can be transplanted once garden soil temperature reaches 60 degrees.
Plant seeds 1/4" deep in an area with full sun once soil temperature reaches 65 degrees. Keep soil moist but not wet until germination which can take up to 2 months.
