1.This type c dvi only works for Thunderbolt 3 compatible Type-C port. 
2.USB-C DVI is not compatible with devices which do not support the protocol of DP alt mode. 
3.USB C to DVI Adapter does not support USB-C smartphones and tablets, as most of them work with MHL or SlimPort solution instead of DP alt mode. 
4.USB C to DVI is Not compatible with monitors which require dual-link DVI connections. 
5.Subject to the DVI industrial specification, DVI cable can not output audio signal.
