Multifunctional Thermometer:
Ear Mode: pull off the probe cover, insert it into ear canal(do not push too hard or it may hurt your ear drum), press "START" button to get your reading
Forehead Mode: put on the probe cover, make sure the thermometer completely touches your skin, scan from left to right, press "START" button all the time when scanning to get your reading
Due to the fact that an ear temperature is 0.5°F (0.3°C) to 1°F (0.6°C) higher than an oral temperature while a forehead scanner is usually 0.5°F (0.3°C) to 1°F (0.6°C) lower than an oral temperature, forehead readings will always be different from ear readings.
â–ºWe strongly recommend you to take ear temperature if you want a relatively accurate reading.
â–ºTemperature of carotid triangle is more accurate than forehead's, put the probe cover on and firmly(but gently) touch the skin of carotid triangle to take your readings.
Object Mode: point the probe at water/milk bottle/food, keep the probe 3-5mm away from the object, press "START" key to get your reading
Ambient Mode: for measuring environmental temperature

Mute Mode: press the "MEM" button to memory mode, then press and hold the "MEM" button again until you hear a short beep indicating turned off the sound

Fever Alarm: normal temperature = LCD display green, fever = LCD display red with exact temperature and a "beep" signal

°C/°F Conversion
① Under shutdown state, press and hold "MEM" button for 6 seconds until LCD displays "°C" then release.
② By pressing "MEM" again you can shift between °C and °F. After you have chosen the right mode, wait for 3 seconds and it will power off automatically, ready for new testing.
