For users wishing to flatten tools or flatten oil & water stones, the new double-sided classic professional fine/extra-coarse 8 inch diamond bench Stone is ideal. The 180 grit extra-coarse side is used to initially flatten the tool, or oil & water Stone. The fine 600-grit side is used to remove any scratches left after flattening tools such as chisels and plane irons, before fine Honing & polishing. The fine side is also ideal for sharpening tools used by contractors, site workers and shop Fitters. The Stone is made from precision ground steel with the mono-crystalline diamonds which are set in nickel and offers an exceptional life span. The Stone is 8 inches long, with 3 inches wide and has a thickness of 5/16 of an inch for stability. The extra-coarse side has clearance channels, which assist in the dispersion of residue from the tool, while the fine side is solid diamond plate. Use with lapping fluid.
