It all started in 1967 with a Texan and a New Yorker debating over who made the best chili. They met in Terlingua Texas, then a ghost town in Big Bend country of the Rio Brande. For the last 50 years, the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) has hosted the event, with approximately 500 chili cook-offs annually leading up to the Terlingua Championship and the ultimate Grand Pepper trophy. This product was inspired by championship recipes, and we are excited to be able to bring a taste of Terlingua to your family and friends!
