Jamaicans call it guinea hen weed or garlic weed, but it is recognized in South America as anamu. This is an herb that is indigenous to the Amazon rainforest and the tropical areas of the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Africa. Anamu extracts can even relieve pain and inflammation when applied to the skin. Compounds in anamu directly decreases and/or inhibit the growth of several bacteria, viruses and fungi, including yeasts and other health issues in the human body.
