Blackwing presents a high-quality pencil pouch that was designed specifically for the famous Blackwing pencil. This pencil pouch boasts a number of features that sets it apart from other pencil bags. First of all, this leather pencil pouch can easily hold up to 24 full length, unsharpened Blackwing pencils (pencils are not included). Blackwing makes pencils for artists, writers and makers of all types, so we understand the importance of having access to your tools at all times. With the ability to transport and hold up to 24 pencils in the Blackwing Pencil Pouch, you'll never face a shortage of pencils. This pencil case was handcrafted from the finest quality materials. It's made from 8.25 oz. black Martexin waxed canvas and oiled black leather, giving the pencil pouch a distinct, classic look. The canvas pencil pouch is closed with a heavy-duty Talon zipper that can take plenty of abuse. With a leather zipper pull and a leather grip tab on the side of the pouch, it can be zipped open and closed with minimal effort. This high-quality, functional design is the result of Blackwing's collaboration with the talented craftsmen at Bradley Mountain, located in San Diego, California. Bradley Mountain is known for their durable bags and other handmade goods, and their high-quality craftsmanship is clearly evident on each and every handmade Blackwing Pencil Pouch. Blackwing was first introduced by the Eberhard Faber Pencil Company in the 1930's. Their cult following included John Steinbeck and Chuck Jones, who proudly used Blackwings to create Bugs Bunny and many other Looney Tunes characters. Due to cost cuts, they were discontinued in the 1990's. But that didn't stop devotees from paying as much as 40 per pencil for unused stock. In 2010, we drew from nearly a century of experience to access the best materials in the world and bring Blackwing back for a new generation of writers, musicians, and others seeking a more natural existence.
