The third brake light is designed to be waterproof. Don't worry about water leaking into your car. The light case is sealed well and also the foam is mounted back on the light. No more slot between your car and the light.
Note:
It's better to install the back light with manual tools. Electronic tool makes the screwing too tight so the case cracked
